Our dietitians are an integral part of the team at DWLS. Their services focus on the pre-operative and post-operative nutritional care of the patients and are provided as part of the overall holistic management offered by the team. Our dietitians are committed to assisting our patients in realising their weight loss goals and we work together to ensure that healthy and mindful eating is a life long habit.

Each patient sees the dietitian prior surgery. The initial appointment focuses on assessment of weight and diet history as well as nutritional assessment and exploration of  eating and lifestyle behaviours. Information and coaching  is provided on appropriate diet and eating pattern modifications required for success with surgery . After surgery the dietitians review each patient at regular intervals and assess eating strategies, nutritional adequacy and provide ongoing support in conjunction with the rest of the team.
